Assignments

SCPD Students

SCPD students should submit homework to both a CA and SCPD by 11:00am on the due date. Homework can be either turned in to Andrew or Simon directly or emailed to ambrad@stanford.edu. Use one of the following methods to submit homework to SCPD:

  • Fax the homework to 650-736-1266 or 650-725-4138. Place your name, the course number, and page number on each page of the material. Include a route/fax form with your homework; the form is available in mystanfordconnection under Forms.
  • Email to scpd-distribution@lists.stanford.edu.

Non-SCPD Students

Non-SCPD students should submit a hardcopy of the homework directly to Andrew or Simon by 11:00am on the due date.

Homework

We prefer typeset homeworks, and once you have had some practice, we think you will too. An example of a Latex file with homework formatting is here.

We expect clear, neat solutions. Typesetting often encourages clarity, as you can easily edit and move equations and text around. Solutions need not be lengthy; indeed, clarity and brevity often go together. It is quite possible to submit one or two sheets of paper, with standard font size, for each assignment.

Homework policies are listed here.
